THE ROUTE OF THE GUARDIAN OF THE ANDES
The Ausangate snow-capped mountain, one of Peru’s most imposing peaks, is not only a marvel of nature but also a site of deep spiritual significance. In pre Hispanic times, this great glacial mountain was one of the most revered oracles in the Andean worldview a sacred connection between humans and the Apus, the protective mountain deities.
This is one of the least explored routes in the Cusco region. Trekking the Ausangate circuit offers a breathtaking natural spectacle: vibrant turquoise, emerald, and red lagoons shaped by minerals and ancient glaciers. Every step unveils the essence of life in the Andes, from surreal landscapes to remote communities that proudly preserve their ancestral traditions. This journey blends physical challenge with an unforgettable spiritual and cultural experience.

Ideal Travel Dates
The best time to explore Ausangate is between April and October, during the dry season. These months offer more stable weather and breathtaking views of the mountains and lagoons. The full circuit requires a minimum of 5 days and 4 nights of camping, allowing you to visit the main points of interest and fully immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes and rich cultural experience.

Tour Intensity
The Ausangate trek is challenging and recommended for travelers with experience in high-altitude hiking. The average elevation exceeds 4,000 meters (13,123 feet) above sea level, with ascents reaching up to 5,200 meters (17,060 feet). Good physical condition, prior acclimatization, and a willingness to camp in cold conditions are essential for this adventure.

MACHU PICHU

EN BUSCA DE LAS CIUDADES
This trekking route connects Choquequiraoknown as the “sacred sister” of Machu Picchu, with the world wonder itself. It is a demanding journey lasting 8 to 9 days, descending into the Apurímac Canyon and ascending to ancient Inca terraces and plazas hidden within the cloud forest. The effort is rewarded with majestic landscapes and the opportunity to explore two extraordinary archaeological sites without the usual crowds. Our guides take care of logistics, camps and permits, and adapt the trekking pace to your level.

The best time to visit is between March and December, when rainfall is moderate and trails are in good condition. The dry season, from May to October, offers clear skies and breathtaking views. The full journey takes 7 days, including 5 nights of camping and 1 night in a hotel at the end of the trip
